It is often difficult to compare prices quoted by different message
centers. Pricing methods vary greatly. Some centers charge a fee
per each incoming or outgoing call, others charge on the basisof
how long a call lasts. Often mainentance and operator work time
charges are specified along with various monthly surcharges. We
encourage potential clients to shop around and make sure that they
are being quoted for all charges.
At A-1 Message Center, if you are able to provide us with a good
estimate of your call volume and average length of calls, we will
be happy to quote a flat rate for our services. Otherwise, our standard
pricing is based on the actual time that our operators are on the
phone speaking with your callers and relaying your messages.
Our system tracks time in six second increments. This is a very
important consideration since most business receive unwanted calls
from solicters, hang-ups, wrong numbers, office hours inquiries
and so forth. If a customer is being charged on a "per call"
basis, the same 70ยข or $1 per call fee is levied each time an unwanted
call or hang up is received no matter how long the operator is on
the phone. By tracking time in six second increments the cost impact
from these unwanted calls is minimized.
Our pricing is uncomplicated. Our services
are offered on a no contract basis.
For basic answering service, we invoice a low minimum charge that
covers the first hour of calls and then we charge pennies for each
additional six second increment after the first hour. There are
absolutely no other ongoing charges. When service is started we
do require a one time set up fee and a refundable deposit; but that
is it.
If required, a toll free number for you to forward your existing
telephone number to or have your callers contact directly will be
provided at no additional cost. There is also never a charge for
calling in to us to retrieve messages or update instructions using
the special telephone number that we provide.
If you prefer a flat rate for, but are unable to provide us with
a good estimate of your call volume and average length of calls,
we will monitor your activitly for three months to get an appreciation
of the pattern of calls you receive. We will then set a flat rate
to your satisfaction.
